That's my final score for submission to the show opening tomorrow. Boo!
It leaves me time and energy to focus on preparing for my Advancement Review next week and my couture piece for *gulp!* next month.
And now for something just for entertainment value:

This is a picture of my Grandmother. I get the dog-craziness quite honestly.
I was first to vote at my precinct this morning. That's not unusual - I am often the first voter there. This time, however, I got all choked up. As I have discussed with several people, this primary is a really big deal, but this presidential election has me quite emotional.

Excuse me. Senator Obama? Are you the president yet??
It was a busy and exciting weekend. Beautiful weather, really, if not a wee bit too cold Saturday Night (can't help the link, sorry).
I have no pictures to post, as I was too occupied with other things to document all over the place (I'll get some documentation, soon, though).
I have Multiple Anxiety Disorder today - yes, I just made that up - here's my week in a nutshell:
Today: Move my office for the second of three times by August
Tuesday: Vote Obama!!! Oh! And then go get a root canal.
Wednesday: Pick up any work not chosen for Friday's opening at school.
Thursday: Um, yeah, just work. Also, keep working on my couture piece for (gulp!) next month!!
Friday: Back to the dentist. ALL DAY. Then to the Opening at school that will hopefully include something of mine.
Saturday: Oh. My. It's EDDIE!!!
Sunday: Sleep ALL DAY. Okay, none of my critters will allow that, but I doubt I'll ever get out of my jammies.
Incidentally, The Greatest Spectacle in Racing is quickly approaching, and I would be crazy not to point out the World's Greatest Name (in sports, or anywhere):
Will Power. Unbelieveable!
Things are getting better.
There's
.
And in less than two weeks, there will be...
Tonight when I get home, I think I'll have myself a little of...

And finally, last night I sat on a friend's sofa next to a fella and wasn't able to breathe properly. I can't find you an actual photograph of this particular guy, but I can give you a visual clue that describes him very well. A little of this:
with a little of this:
holding one of these:
Not my kind of beer, for sure, but at least he wouldn't drink up the good stuff!
It's a bad day for notreallylois. It actually started over the weekend, I guess, but each time I suffered a setback or problem, I was able to recover.
Friday I bought a few pieces from the ceramics department at school. Two bowls from an artist I love, and a mug without a handle (technically, a goblet). I set out washing said ceramics pieces Saturday morning and the goblet quickly shattered and sliced off a big chunk of my right hand.
Recovered. Fixed leaky toilet (thanks, Dad, for the over the phone diagnostics). Painted. Framed some paintings.
Yesterday, my painting and framing continued. I managed to put a nail under my thumbnail. Blood is difficult to get off of oak lattice. Managed to melt down while talking to my dear friend [notreally] Gladys. Hung up and finished what I needed to finish.
Today, though, I had my arse handed to me on a platter in critique. I am now questioning what the h-e-double-hockey-sticks I am doing spending all this money and time in art school. Okay, I checked my ego at the door, but I am really struggling - and the last days of the semester might be the worst time to have this happen.
I feel as though I might vomit.
The semester is almost over.
I'm almost ready to start my summer classes.
It's almost tolerable in my makeshift office, into which I moved yesterday - the first of three moves by August.
It is almost possible to get through the day without eating some sort of chips.
It's almost June and I have two wearable art pieces to construct for my juried exhibition.
My BFA Advancement Review is in two weeks. I am almost ready.
I almost didn't wake up this morning (reference homework photos with Black Velveteens).
I think this weekend will be almost enough time to finish my final painting:
I spied this globe in someone's trash on my way to work yesterday. Imagine! Throwing away the earth the day before Earth Day!! So sad, but an excellent find for me. It's one of those things that's too good to pass up, even though it's not immediately obvious what I will do with it. I have a globe I use for reference, although it seems fairly obvious that globes and maps are pretty much obsolete as soon as they are printed. This National Geographic Globe, for instance, can show me where the USSR is located.
So today, Earth Day, I brought my coffee to work in my OXO tumbler (best thing ever, by the way, never leaks or spills), and my lunch in sustainable bento boxes with a Light My Fire Spork (great to have). I'll think about the entire Earth, yes, but my mind is preoccupied at least a little with Pennsylvania. Yes We Can, PA.
Finally, I actually heard myself saying this to Fnn this morning, "Do NOT walk away from me while I am yelling at you!!"

on The polls are now open.
